Description
Placing a DC system with an indoor cabinet allows installation in areas other than a dedicated electrical or battery rooms allowing more flexiblity on the installation location while still meeting code requirements. Battery cabinet also offer additional protection for the battery and charger from tampering by unauthorized personnel.
Outdoor battery cabinets are an easy way to add a new DC system to older substations where room in the control house is limited. This allows for a back-up power source for control equipment and enables remote switching and recovery operations if AC control power is not available.
Our self contained DC systems can be designed to house the battery charger, battery, disconnect, DC distribution panelboards. We can even provide an addtional equipment bay with 19″ or 23″ relay rack rails for custmer supplied equipment. They can be mounted outside the control house, near circuit switchers or breakers or anywhere else that your application requires.
