i-GARD iM Insulation Monitoring

Description

The iM series of insulation monitors from i-GARD continuously monitor idle electrical machines for insulation degradation and automatically disconnects when the machine is energized. The iM device provides an early warning of insulation breakdown so issues may be corrected before complete failure causes an unscheduled outage.

The iM device:

• Extends motor life and reduces motor lifetime costs.
• Eliminates the need for costly manual testing.
• Increases safety by identifing warning of future sources of phase-to-phase or phase-ground faults.
